I am an English Teacher and translator based in Lecce, in the South of Italy. Once a year in the historical centre of the baroque city Lecce, the mayor decides to open up to the public all the beautiful private courtyards. People can wind through the cobbled stone streets and visit the courtyards that are actually habitants’ front gardens. My latest project was to translate from Italian to English tourist information explaining the history and architectural designs of each courtyard.
